CRESST Co-Director Emerita Joan Herman will present at this year’s AERA annual meeting on a variety of assessment and evaluation topics. These include teachers’ formative assessment practices in mathematics, school-level factors that predict academic achievement among magnet schools, and a teacher training program that supports content area teachers to integrate high quality writing tasks in their lessons. In addition, she will be teaching a workshop on measurement quality in research, highlighting standards for measurement validity and fairness.
